Tour Itinerary

Your Egypt Tours representative will meet and assist you when you arrive at Cairo International Airport. He will help you handle all your procedures through passport control, customs formalities, and in the luggage area. Following this, you will be driven to your 5-star hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle for drop-off.

Overnight: in Cairo luxurious hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will tour the Giza Plateau, about 30 minutes from Cairo. Once in Giza, your Egyptologist guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of The pyramids: Cheops, Khafre, and Menakaure, the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

After visiting the pyramids, you will continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands with the Cairo skyline in the background.

A short drive to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years, the enigmatic symbol of Egypt. The Great Sphinx, measuring 190 feet long and 65 feet high, still stands as centurion over these magnificent royal tombs. This monumental landmark was carved out of a single piece of rock in the shape of a lion with a pharaoh’s head.

After your tour of the Giza Pyramids, you will drive to Sakkara, built in 2650 B.C. and home to Egypt’s oldest pyramid. Your guide will provide a brief history of the famous Step Pyramid, and you will have free time to walk around.

Your final stop is Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Here you will see artifacts from many of the great rulers of Egypt, including the fallen statue of Ramses II.

After touring Memphis, you will have a chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how this famous artwork is made and have the chance to purchase genuine items if you wish. After the conclusion of your tour, you will drive back to your hotel for drop-off.

Optional Activities:

  • You will have free time to enter the burial chambers of the pyramids (optional, for an additional cost); however, your guide is not allowed to enter with you to avoid overcrowding.
  • You may also ride a camel in the pyramids area (optional, for an additional cost).

Overnight: in Cairo luxurious hotel | Meals: Breakfast.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Cairo Airport to take your flight to Aswan. Once you arrive in Aswan, you will be met and assisted by our representative, who will take you to embark on your Nile River cruise for the next 4 days.

Later you will go on an exciting tour of the world-famous High Dam, an engineering miracle built in the 1960s. After that, you will go to the island of Egilka on a motorboat to visit the majestic Philae temple dedicated to the Goddesses Isis.

Overnight: onboard luxury cruise | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

(Optional trip) Today at 4 AM, you will go by bus to the impressive Temples of Ramses II in Abu Simbel. The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “ Nubian Monuments,” which runs from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan). The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh, and to intimidate his Nubian neighbors. However, the complex was relocated in 1968 to an artificial hill made from a domed structure high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir.

The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt&rsquo's top tourist attractions. With your qualified Egyptologist as your guide, you will enjoy a personalized visit to the temples of Abu Simbel. With its four rock-hewn pharaohs, your guide will explain the history behind this magnificent site, including how the temples were discovered by accident in 1813. Due to the large number of visitors to Abu Simbel, guides are not permitted inside either of the two temples you will visit. Then return to Aswan to board your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise.

Then sailing to Kom Ombo Through Aswan day tours. You will be escorted by your Egyptology-speaking guide to visit Kom Ombo temple, the crocodile-headed God of fertility and creator of the world, then you will take your lunch aboard your cruise with free time at leisure while sailing to Edfu to explore Edfu&rsquo's Temple of Horus, Continue the cruise down to Luxor. Afternoon tea is served on the sun – deck with dinner.

Overnight: onboard luxury cruise | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Breakfast on board the cruise, and then you will be taken to the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the two colossal statues (Colossi of Memnon).

Following this, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent pharaonic tombs were discovered. Continue the tour to the Hatshepsut temple at El Deer El Bahary, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut. You will head back to your cruise ship for lunch. After having afternoon tea on the ship, you will have free time at leisure.

Optional Activities:

  • Here you will have a chance to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun

Overnight: onboard luxury cruise | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to the Karnak Temple complex, the most prominent place of worship ever built. I pet-it's ancient name means "the most sacred of places." The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than 2,000 years by generation after generation of pharaohs.

Within the complex, you will find the great "Hypostyle Hall," an incredible forest of giant pillars. After this, you will be transferred to Luxor temple, which Amenhotep III and Ramses II built for rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amen. You will then be driven to Luxor Airport for a flight back to Cairo, where you will be prompted to your hotel.

Overnight: in luxurious Cairo hotel | Meals: Breakfast.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will proceed to visit Cairo's famous Egyptian Museum, which houses over 250,000 Egyptian artifacts, including the treasures of the tomb of King Tutankhamun. His five-gilded coffins dominate the main hall, while his magnificent death mask is the star attraction.

After you visit the Egyptian Museum, you will proceed to the ancient sites and culture of Coptic Christians. There you will visit Abu Serga, where the Holy family sorts refuge, and Ben Ezra, one of the oldest synagogues in Cairo. Here you will learn about Christian life in Egypt.

You will also tour the Citadel of Salah el-Din, where Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque stays. Your final stop will be the Khan el Khalili bazaar, where your guide will give you an introduction to the famous markets which claim to have inspired Christopher Columbus to discover the Americas.

Here you will have free time to stroll through the maze of streets and shops and try your luck bargaining with the shop owners for a souvenir or two of your trip to Egypt or have a cup of Egyptian tea at the famous coffee shop “ El Fishawy” to enjoy the atmosphere of the bazaar.

Overnight: in luxurious Cairo hotel | Meals: Breakfast.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and be driven to Cairo International Airport for your departure.

Summer is really hot here, prices go down and it is a good chance for travelers with a tight budget.

There are many things to do in Egypt during your visit depending on your interests and character. You must visit the pyramids of Giza, enjoy a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan and enjoy visiting the most important tourist attractions in Luxor and Aswan. The high season for tourism is all year with winter and spring being peak season for cultural travels with lots of sightseeing. Weather in Egypt is perfect for many kinds of tourism, and if coming in June, July, and August, head for the seaside resorts. Those months are very warm with temperatures that can reach around 45C. and the humidity is about 70 to 80%, but it is bearable with the sea and large swimming pools nearby. So the period of the high summer season is also a bit busy as hotels fill up with tourists from all over the world looking for a bargain, lots of sunshine, diving, snorkeling, etc. It is also a primary vacation time in Europe. If you come in the deep summer season you can still enjoy it because you can always sightsee early in the morning and go again at night when the sunsets. You will definitely need good sunscreen and a lot of liquids to drink with a nice hat on your head. Summer is a good time for people looking for good rates in accommodation and other services.

Egypt is a Muslim country and the dress code is towards the conservative side, especially for women. That being said, we are used to seeing travelers from all over the world. My suggestion would be to wear light clothes and not to wear short shorts, short skirts and alike to avoid the occasional unwanted stare. But it's really up to you. When you visit religious places (synagogues, churches, and mosques) you do need to cover your shoulders and wear over the knee dresses, if you are planning to wear one of course. If you plan to attend the Nile dinner cruise, there is no need for formal wear unless you want to make that night a special night! Also, you will be sharing this experience with other travelers so you can dress however you feel most comfortable.

You can get your visa when you arrive at Cairo Airport. It is an easy process for USA, UK, Canadian, Australian and European citizens. The visa is simply a stamp (like a mail or postage stamp) that you buy from the visa office, at the port of entry just before the immigration booth. The visa will cost you $25 US Dollars and after buying it; you just stick it on any empty page on your passport. Once you have bought your visa you then stand in line to get your passport stamped by the immigration officer. You can also apply for E-Visa via the official electronic visa portal: www.visa2egypt.gov.eg

Your Egypt Tours travel agency recommends two weeks so that you can enjoy the temples and tombs of Luxor and Aswan, explore the sights of Cairo, and relax in the Red Sea islands and nature reserves.

There are many Nile cruises. Not to name one but your choice depends on many things to put in mind such as the number of nights you want to spend on the cruiser, your budget, and the standard of the Nile cruise. We recommend you choose a 5-star luxury Nile cruise, and if you are looking for a private Nile River cruise you can choose Dahabiya cruises, it is only for the small-group tour, about 15 people. Most cruises have. There is another way of cruising the Nile, which is the Felucca boat. It is traditional and charming but it is cheap as long as it will be ok to sleep on the deck exposed to mosquitos and most of these boats do not have a toilet

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact Your Egypt Tours, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Egypt. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
