Tour Itinerary

Join Your Egypt Tours on a journey across the highlights of the East Bank of Luxor. Explore some of the most impressive temples found in Upper Egypt while in the company of your personal tour guide.

Begin your tour by visiting the Temple of Karnak, a complex of temples that have been built across the life of several pharaohs. The oldest ruins present here are over 3,000 years old.  Explore the Great Court of the Hypostyle Hall and marvel at the 134 massive columns.  Visit the sacred lake located behind the temple and learn about how the pharaohs and their offerings were purified. Your experience can be enhanced further with the optional sound and light show in Karnak. After your guided tour of Karnak Temple, you will have additional free time to explore at your leisure.

Continue to the Temple of Luxor, which was once joined with the Temples of Karnak. Traverse the Avenue of the Sphinxes, which once served as the connecting path between these two ancient places of worship. Along the path, you will find masterfully crafted sphinx statues on each side. Marvel at the statue of Ramses II, which dominates the main entrance. The temple's interior is decorated with intricate hieroglyphics, which your guild will help you decipher.

Return to your hotel after leaving the Temple of Luxor, concluding a memorable Luxor day tour.

Being in Luxor for a single day is preferable to staying away. The main attractions in Luxor may be seen in one day. You can go to Hatshepsut Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and possibly one or two other monuments on a day excursion to Luxor. The truthful response would be that a day trip to Luxor is insufficient.

It is frequently described as the largest open-air museum in the world and for a good cause. You may find a ton of ruins, monuments, temples, and tombs there. You'll need at least two days of Egypt day tours to discover all that Luxor has to offer without feeling rushed.

Unless you travel with a tour group, visiting Luxor on your own can be rather stressful. Luxor has so many archaeological sites and things to do that touring each temple and cemetery may take several days and a lot of money!

There are no set meter rates for cabs in Luxor, although depending on your negotiation skills, the majority of journeys will cost between 5 and 150 Egyptian pounds (approximately $0.50 to $17). Uber and other ride-hailing services are not available in Luxor.

You should set aside about $200 for Luxor excursions, which would likely involve visiting the Luxor and Karnak Temples. West Bank Temples and the Valley of Kings and Queens. Felucca rides at sunset.

Travel has helped us to understand the meaning of life and it has helped us become better people. Each time we travel, we see the world with new eyes.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.

I recently traveled with my wife, daughter, son in law and two grandsons (ages 4 and 2). We had a private tour experience. From the moment we landed at the airport on our arrival to the day we left we were treated with the utmost care and attention

Our trip to was wonderful. The accommodations and travel was seamlessly arranged by customer service rep, Mona, and we visited so many of the famous Egyptian antiquities. I would not have done the trip without the very knowledgeable guides, Ashraf and Mamdouh
