The largest of the three great Giza Pyramids – Cheops, constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks – took over 20 years to build. Afterward, we enjoy a camel ride across the desert sands as part of your egypt family adventure 8-day.

Cairo – Aswan
Today we venture in search of treasures, mummies and fascinating history at the Citadel of Saladin enjoying panoramic views overlooking the old city as daily life unfolds below. We then conclude the day with a lively market walk through the bustling Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Time to freshen up; in the evening, we board the comfortable overnight sleeper train to Aswan, continuing our unforgettable Egypt family tour.

We arrive in Aswan this morning and explore the Nubian city on a guided walk through the local market and souq, enjoying the vibrant colors and warm culture that make this stop a highlight of any Egypt family trip. Scenically located on the Nile, a walk along the riverfront corniche to view the many boats is a real treat, as is a visit to the lively Aswan bazaar. The afternoon is free for you and your family to relax or explore at your own pace.

Free morning or opt for the morning excursion to Abu Simbel Temple (optional). The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure during your Family Egypt trip; maybe relax by the pool, stroll along the Nile corniche, or explore the lively marketplace.

Aswan – Luxor. This morning we boarded a motorboat and cruised along the River Nile, passing some of the small islands en route to Sheil Island, where we disembarked and visited a local village and school before enjoying lunch at the home of an Egyptian family as part of our 8-day Egypt tours for families.
The motorboats of Aswan are proudly owned and crewed by friendly local sailors. They have been adapted from the Felucca vessel style to carry travelers comfortably. Lunch will be served in the home of an Egyptian family.
After lunch, we cruise back to Aswan for our afternoon/evening train journey to Luxor, one of the world’s greatest open-air museums. The 4000-year-old site of ancient Thebes, known today as Luxor, is our base for the next three days.

Today we will visit Karnak Temple, more than a temple. Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes, and obelisks. Karnak is probably Egypt’s finest ancient temple, built on a grand scale as part of your Egypt family package for 8 days.
Free afternoon or wander along Luxor’s historic waterfront. This evening, we travel in horse-drawn carriages to the illuminated Temple of Luxor, where you enjoy a tour in the cool evening air. The rest of the evening is free.

Early this morning, we head to the West Bank of the Nile for a guided tour of the legendary Valleys of the Kings. The cliffs, bereft of vegetation, are home to a vast necropolis of tombs, some of which you can enter. Some of the tombs are so well preserved that the colors of the incredible pharaonic friezes are still as vibrant as when they were first painted.
After leaving the Valley of the Kings and saying goodbye to our tour guide, we returned to our hotel, where there would be a little time to freshen up before hotel check-out and onward departure transfer to Luxor International Airport.
Our tour concludes at this point with fond memories of a magical Egypt family Vacation!

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
