Following breakfast at your hotel, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx in the company of your personal Egyptologist. Afterwards take a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum and browse the priceless pharaonic artifacts on display. Amongst this remarkable collection is Tutankhamun’s six gold-gilded coffins and funerary mask. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the highlights of the museum before allowing you to explore at your own leisure.
In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan.

Board a traditional felucca boat and visit the marvelous Elephantine Island. Experience the culture of the Nubian people as you visit the local village. You will have free time to walk along the Nile or browse the marketplace. Enjoy a traditional home cooked meal with a local family.

Continue your journey across Aswan with a guided tour of one of its finest temples, Abu Simbel. These twin temples were dedicated to Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The main temple features massive statues of the pharaoh which dominate the entrance. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the temples before allowing you free time to explore their beautiful interior.
Following your trip to Abu Simbel, you will be able to partake in an optional half-day tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan High Dam, and Philae Temple. This half day tour is perfect for those who wish to witness ancient and modern feats of engineering.
Afterwards, visit the Nubian Museum and explore the fascinating artifacts on display. Amongst the collection of items on display are Nubian works of art that provide insight into their rich culture.

Continue your journey across Aswan by visiting Kom Ombo Temple. This fascinating temple is divided into two halves, each dedicated to a different deity. This temple features intricate columns demonstrating Greek influences on Egyptian architecture.
After your tour of Kom Ombo, transfer to Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way, you will visit the Temple of Karnak, one of Egypt’s most important temples. The temple complex features a wide array of shrines and obelisks dedicated to the ancient Egyptian pantheon.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a guided tour around the highlights of Luxor. Begin with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues dedicated to the pharaoh Amenhotep III. Afterwards, journey to the Valley of the Kings and uncover the secrets of this royal burial place. The interior of the tombs are richly decorated with relief carvings and paintings. You will have the option to enter some of the tombs present, including the tomb of Tutankhamun (at an additional cost).
Following your visit to the Valley of the Kings, pay a visit to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This wondrous temple seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone, creating a natural amphitheater. Your Egyptologist guide will familiarize you with this unforgettable temple before allowing you free time to explore.
During your tour of Luxor, you will enjoy lunch with a local family on the West Bank of the Nile. Following your traditional meal you will be able to explore Luxor at your own pace. At the conclusion of your tour of Luxor, board the overnight train and return to Cairo.

Arrive at the train station in Cairo on your final day in Egypt. We highly recommend exploring this vibrant city if time allows. Finally, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight home.

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
