Overnight: Hotel in Cairo

Following breakfast at your hotel, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx in the company of your personal Egyptologist. Soak in the rich history of these ancient structures that have stood for thousands of years. During your free time, you may opt to explore the pyramids burial chambers (additional cost).

Afterwards take a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum and browse the priceless pharaonic artifacts on display. Amongst this remarkable collection is Tutankhamun’s six gold-gilded coffins and funerary mask. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the highlights of the museum before allowing you to explore at your own leisure.

In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan.

Overnight: Sleeper Train | Meals: Breakfast

Arrive in the city of Aswan, Egypt’s southern gateway to Africa. This region has many historic sites and a stunning natural beauty unlike other regions of Egypt.

Board a traditional felucca boat and visit the marvelous Elephantine Island. Experience the culture of the Nubian people as you visit the local village. You will have free time to walk along the Nile or browse the marketplace. Enjoy a traditional home cooked meal with a local family.

Overnight: Hotel in Aswan | Meals: Breakfast

Continue your journey across Aswan with a guided tour of one of its finest temples, Abu Simbel. These twin temples were dedicated to Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The main temple features massive statues of the pharaoh which dominate the entrance. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the temples before allowing you free time to explore their beautiful interior.

Following your trip to Abu Simbel, you will be able to partake in an optional half-day tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan High Dam, and Philae Temple. This half day tour is perfect for those who wish to witness ancient and modern feats of engineering.

Afterwards, visit the Nubian Museum and explore the fascinating artifacts on display. Amongst the collection of items on display are Nubian works of art that provide insight into their rich culture.

Overnight: Hotel in Aswan | Meals: Breakfast

Embark on a relaxing ride along the Nile while onboard a traditional felucca boat. Witness the natural beauty of Aswan as you glide by and take memorable photos of your journey. Experience a beautiful sunset as you prepare to spend an unforgettable night under the stars.

Note: The felucca is not equipped with a toilet and shower. However, a support boat will be close by to accommodate your needs.

Overnight: Felucca Boat | Meals: Breakfast

Continue your journey across Aswan by visiting Kom Ombo Temple. This fascinating temple is divided into two halves, each dedicated to a different deity. This temple features intricate columns demonstrating Greek influences on Egyptian architecture.

After your tour of Kom Ombo, transfer to Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way, you will visit the Temple of Karnak, one of Egypt’s most important temples. The temple complex  features a wide array of shrines and obelisks dedicated to the ancient Egyptian pantheon.

Overnight: Hotel in Luxor | Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a guided tour around the highlights of Luxor. Begin with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues dedicated to the pharaoh Amenhotep III. Afterwards, journey to the Valley of the Kings and uncover the secrets of this royal burial place. The interior of the tombs are richly decorated with relief carvings and paintings. You will have the option to enter some of the tombs present, including the tomb of Tutankhamun (at an additional cost).

Following your visit to the Valley of the Kings, pay a visit to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This wondrous temple seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone, creating a natural amphitheater. Your Egyptologist guide will familiarize you with this unforgettable temple before allowing you free time to explore.

During your tour of Luxor, you will enjoy lunch with a local family on the West Bank of the Nile. Following your traditional meal you will be able to explore Luxor at your own pace. At the conclusion of your tour of Luxor, board the overnight train and return to Cairo.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact Your Egypt Tours, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Egypt. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
