In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan.

Arrive in the city of Aswan, Egypt’s southern gateway to Africa. This region has many historic sites and a stunning natural beauty unlike other regions of Egypt.

Board a traditional felucca boat and visit the marvelous Elephantine Island. Experience the culture of the Nubian people as you visit the local village. You will have free time to walk along the Nile or browse the marketplace. Enjoy a traditional home cooked meal with a local family.

Overnight: Hotel in Aswan | Meals: Breakfast

Continue your journey across Aswan with a guided tour of one of its finest temples, Abu Simbel. These twin temples were dedicated to Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The main temple features massive statues of the pharaoh which dominate the entrance. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the temples before allowing you free time to explore their beautiful interior.

Following your trip to Abu Simbel, you will be able to partake in an optional half-day tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan High Dam, and Philae Temple. This half day tour is perfect for those who wish to witness ancient and modern feats of engineering.

Afterwards, visit the Nubian Museum and explore the fascinating artifacts on display. Amongst the collection of items on display are Nubian works of art that provide insight into their rich culture.

Continue your journey across Aswan by visiting Kom Ombo Temple. This fascinating temple is divided into two halves, each dedicated to a different deity. This temple features intricate columns demonstrating Greek influences on Egyptian architecture.

After your tour of Kom Ombo, transfer to Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way, you will visit the Temple of Karnak, one of Egypt’s most important temples. The temple complex  features a wide array of shrines and obelisks dedicated to the ancient Egyptian pantheon.

You will have the option to enter some of the tombs present, including the tomb of Tutankhamun (at an additional cost).

Following your visit to the Valley of the Kings, pay a visit to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This wondrous temple seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone, creating a natural amphitheater. Your Egyptologist guide will familiarize you with this unforgettable temple before allowing you free time to explore.

Your Egypt Tours Reviews

Travel has helped us to understand the meaning of life and it has helped us become better people. Each time we travel, we see the world with new eyes.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
