Arrive at Edfu Temple and prepare to explore one of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples. This temple was dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god, and contains many depictions of him through sculptures and reliefs that decorate this amazing temple. Continue to Kom Ombo, one of the most unique temples of Egypt. This temple was dedicated to two separate deities of the ancient Egyptian pantheon, Horus and Sobek. The temple has two entrances, one for each of the two deities. The temple is situated on elevated ground near the Nile making for an excellent view. Venture into the main hall of the temple which contains columns and pylons which are richly decorated with reliefs and hieroglyphics illustrating the mythology of the two deities.
