Tour Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt. Your journey with YourEgyptTours begins the moment you land at Cairo International Airport. After you collect your luggage, a friendly representative will meet you inside the terminal, assist with passport control and customs, then escort you to a private air-conditioned vehicle for a comfortable transfer to your Cairo hotel.

After breakfast, your private Egyptologist guide will take you to the Giza Pyramids. You will see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. You will also visit the Great Sphinx. After lunch, you will explore the new Grand Egyptian Museum to see the treasures of King Tutankhamun. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast, drive south to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest large stone structure in history. You will also explore ancient tombs with colorful wall carvings. Continue to Dahshur to visit the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. You may go inside the Red Pyramid. Return to Cairo for overnight.

After breakfast, visit the Citadel of Saladin and the beautiful Mohamed Ali Mosque made of alabaster stone. From the terrace you will see a panoramic view of all Cairo. After lunch, explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the famous old market. You will have mint tea at the historic El Fishawy Cafe. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast, drive north to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Sea. The drive takes about three hours. Check into your seaside hotel. Then visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the great modern library. Enjoy lunch at a seaside restaurant overlooking the water. Walk along the Alexandria Corniche. Overnight in Alexandria.

After breakfast, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders. Then explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground Roman burial site mixing Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art. After lunch, the afternoon is free to relax or explore on your own. Overnight in Alexandria.

After breakfast, drive south to Fayoum Oasis. Check into your eco lodge. After lunch, visit Wadi El Rayan, a protected desert area with lakes and waterfalls. You can try sand boarding on the dunes. Enjoy the sunset in the desert. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight in Fayoum.

After breakfast, visit Wadi El Hitan, the Valley of the Whales, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will see complete whale skeletons embedded in the desert sand from over 40 million years ago. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the desert. You can take a short camel ride or walk among the sand dunes. Return to your lodge. Overnight in Fayoum.

After an early breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, a YourEgyptTours representative will meet you. Visit Karnak Temple, the largest religious building ever constructed, with its massive hall of 134 columns. After lunch, visit Luxor Temple in the center of the city, connected to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes. Overnight in Luxor.

After breakfast, cross the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings where pharaohs were buried. You will enter three tombs. Then visit the stunning Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs with three dramatic terraces. After lunch, see the Colossi of Memnon, two giant stone statues. Return to your hotel, overnight in Luxor.

After breakfast, check in for your Nile Cruise between Luxor and Aswan. The boat sails south. In the afternoon, arrive at Edfu. Take a horse drawn carriage to the Temple of Edfu, the best preserved temple in Egypt dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Return to the cruise for dinner. Overnight on the Nile Cruise.

The cruise arrives at Kom Ombo after breakfast. Visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon god. See the collection of crocodile mummies. Return to the boat and continue sailing to Aswan. Relax on the sun deck. Overnight on the Nile Cruise in Aswan.

 

After breakfast, take a motorboat to Agilika Island to visit the beautiful Temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis. After lunch, visit the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that controls the Nile and provides electricity. You will also see Lake Nasser. Free time to explore the Aswan market or take an optional felucca boat ride. Overnight on the Nile Cruise in Aswan.

This day is flexible. You have the option to take an early morning trip to Abu Simbel to see the great temple of Ramses the Second. The drive takes three hours each way. If you choose not to go, you can relax in Aswan, visit the Nubian Museum, or explore a Nubian village. In the late afternoon, check out from the cruise and transfer to your hotel in Aswan for overnight.

After breakfast, take your flight to the beautiful Red Sea resort city of Hurghada. Upon arrival, transfer to your beach resort and check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing by the pool or unwinding on the soft sandy beach. Enjoy dinner at the resort and an overnight stay in Hurghada.

This entire day is free. You can relax on the beach, swim in the clear blue water of the Red Sea, or book an optional snorkeling or diving trip to see the colorful coral reefs. You can also take a boat trip to Giftun Island. Enjoy dinner at a seafood restaurant by the marina. Overnight in Hurghada.

After breakfast, take your flight back to Cairo and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace, explore the local shops, or join an optional activity such as a memorable Nile dinner cruise arranged by your guide. Overnight stay in Cairo.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport to depart from Egypt, leaving unforgettable experiences and memories in your 18-Day Egypt Discovery.

Prices Prices

Price quotes are in US dollars per person per trip and are valid until April 30th, 2027. Please inquire about pricing over Christmas, New Year’s, and Easter holidays.

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.

Children Policy

Child traveling with two accompanying adults will pay the following:

·      0 Years to 1.99 years of age: Free of charge.

·      2 years to 4.99 years of age: 50% from the full rate.

·      5 years to 11.99 years of age: 75% from the full rate

·      12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.

Notes:

Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents (Maximum 1 Child sharing parent's room. If 2 children or more, they will stay in another connected room or a room next to the parent’s room).
