today we will discover some of its most impressive. the Giza Plateau is home to the legendary pyramids and iconic Sphinx. Marvel at these incredible architectural feats that even to this day puzzle archaeologists and consider opting for a camel ride to make the experience truly unforgettable.
After your tour of the Giza Plateau, prepare to be amazed. The Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest museum in the world devoted to a single civilization—and you’ll have front-row access to its most breathtaking treasures. Upon arrival in Luxor we transfer to the hotel for check-in. Considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, ancient Thebes known today as Luxor will be our base for the next two days. Today there is free time to kick back and relax and later in the evening, there will be an optional excursion to the Temple of Luxor. Already impressive during daylight, the temple takes on a magically glow after dark as it becomes illuminated by a thousand colored lights (book and pay locally). Spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Today we explore the West Bank of the Nile, home to the famed Valley of the Kings, a vast and ancient necropolis that marks the burial place of pharaohs from the New Kingdom period. The first stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon, a towering pair of statues that are all that remains of the temple of Amenophis III. Touring will continue in the Valley of the Kings and on to the Valley of the Queens, the site of the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
Crossing back over to East Bank we will return to our hotel for some free time before heading to Karnak. More than a temple, Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks built on a grand scale. During the height of Theban power, Karnak was the most important place of worship. Later this evening we will return to Cairo by overnight sleeper train.

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. This modern museum hosts a priceless collection encapsulating Egypt's history across several eras. Explore the Main Hall to examine countless artifacts demonstrating Egypt's development and cultural growth. Continue to the Royal Mummy Hall, where you will find an impressive display of 22 mummies of the great pharaohs of ancient Egypt.
Your exploration continues at Abu Serga, where the Holy Family sought refuge from King Herod. Afterward, you will visit Ben Ezra, one of the oldest synagogues in Cairo. Your personal Egyptologist will provide you with a rich history of these locations and Coptic Christian culture. Along the way you will discover the magnificent Citadel of Saladin where the Alabaster Mosque stands.
Your final stop for the day will be at the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Explore the lively market and browse the large assortment of wares sold by local vendors and artisans. Search for a perfect souvenir of your trip to Egypt, or choose to unwind at the famous coffee shop El Fishawy.

Sunday. Our tour comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check-out. A departure transfer will take you to the airport for your onward travel.

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
