Meet your personal Egyptologist guide at your hotel and begin your immersive exploration of Cairo’s most celebrated mosques, delving into Islamic history and architecture.
Your first stop is the iconic Mosque of Mohamed Ali, famously known as the Alabaster Mosque. Renowned for its grand scale and opulent design, this Ottoman-era masterpiece showcases exquisite decorative elements. From its elevated position within the Citadel, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Cairo, with the Pyramids of Giza visible in the distance on clear days.
Next, visit the historic Mosque of Ibn Tulun, one of Cairo’s oldest and most well-preserved Islamic monuments. Admire its distinctive architectural features, including the unique spiral minaret and expansive courtyard. Within the mosque's compound, you may explore the Gayer-Anderson Museum, a beautifully preserved house offering a glimpse into 17th-century domestic life.
The tour continues to the magnificent Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, a monumental 14th-century complex. Marvel at its soaring arches, intricate stonework, and splendid multi-chromatic marble flooring—a testament to Mamluk architectural grandeur.
At the conclusion of your tour, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel. The remainder of your evening is at leisure, or you may choose to explore one of our additional curated experiences.
