Tour Itinerary

Your private guide will pick you up from your hotel in Alexandria for a comfortable, air-conditioned drive of approximately three hours to Cairo. Upon arrival, your professional English-speaking Egyptologist will lead you on a quick-paced tour designed to help you see the city’s most famous highlights in one day.

Your adventure begins with the ultimate highlight: the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Visit the legendary Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world and a timeless symbol of eternity. Built over 4,600 years ago, this architectural masterpiece will impress you with its massive stone blocks, incredible height, and remarkable precision.

As you explore the plateau, your guide will explain the history of the pyramids of King Khafre and King Menakaure, answer your questions, and allow free time for photography. From the panoramic viewpoint, enjoy stunning views of all three pyramids together. You will spend more than two hours in the area, with optional activities available at an extra cost, such as entering one of the pyramids, visiting the Sun Boat Museum, or enjoying a memorable camel ride.

Continue to the Sphinx Area, where you will admire this colossal statue symbolizing the power and wisdom of the pharaoh, carved with the body of a lion and the head of a king. Nearby, visit the Valley Temple, where you will learn about ancient Egyptian mummification rituals.

Lunch will be served at a local Egyptian restaurant on the way to your next stop.

After lunch, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. The museum displays over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, shown together for the first time in a modern, state-of-the-art setting. Spend at least two hours exploring the highlights with your guide, who will ensure you make the most of your visit before allowing free time to explore on your own.

Your final stop is the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you will enjoy free time to stroll through its lively alleys and bargain for souvenirs. During the day, you will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how this traditional Egyptian art is made.
