Your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from Alexandria Port by the cruise exit door. You will drive to Alexandria, approximately a 3-hour drive on a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Once you arrive in Cairo, your Egyptologist guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids: Cheops, Khafre, and Menakaure. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. You will also have free time to enter the burial chamber of one of the pyramids (optional, for an additional cost); however, your guide is not permitted to enter with you; or you can go on a camel ride in the pyramids area (optional, for an additional cost). After visiting the pyramids, you will continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. A short drive to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years the enigmatic symbol of Egypt! Also in Giza, you may visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional, for an additional cost), home to the remarkably well-preserved funerary boat of Khufu. After your sightseeing tour of the Giza pyramids, you will enjoy a relaxing lunch on the Nile on board a 5-star cruise ship for about 2 hours. You will enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch as you glide past Cairo's waterfront landmarks and are entertained by Egyptian folkloric dance and show. You will then stop at a Papyrus Institute where you will have the opportunity to learn how this artwork is done as well as shop for souvenirs if you wish. After the conclusion of your tour, you will return to Alexandria Port for drop-off.

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 25% of the full price. This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
