After a morning at leisure in Aqaba, travel to Wadi Rum, the “Valley of the Moon” that is included in our luxury tours in Egypt which you explore by 4x4, traversing rose-tinted vistas and visiting a place where Lawrence of Arabia once lived. Tonight, dine beneath twinkling desert skies before returning to your hotel.

Dating back to 1899, the property was built by Thomas Cook to house European travelers, among them Sir Winston Churchill; Margaret Thatcher; and Agatha Christie, whose novel Death on the Nile was set at this Victorian palace. Then visit the Tombs of the Nobles by camel. The tombs mark the final resting places of powerful governors and priests who controlled commerce between Aswan and Nubia. When discussing luxury travel on the Nile River, there are two types: the ordinary Luxury Nile ship and the most luxurious option, the dahabiya Nile Cruise.

Our Recommendation for a Luxury Nile Cruise:

Our Recommendation for a Luxurious Dahabiya small ship

Opting for a four-night voyage guarantees ample moments to marvel at the Nile's eminent attractions like the renowned Karnak and Abu Simbel temples. Yet, if you prefer a more unhurried pace, embark on a seven-night expedition, uncovering a plethora of lesser-known gems such as Dra Abu Nag and the awe-inspiring Medinet Habu.

Yes, indeed! Visitors have the opportunity to venture into the inner chamber of the great pyramids of Giza. However, it's essential to note that each pyramid requires the purchase of a separate ticket for entry. So, if you're eager to explore these ancient marvels up close, be sure to plan accordingly and acquire the necessary tickets beforehand.

Indeed, a tourist visa is imperative for U.S. passport holders, and we at Your Egypt Tours recommend acquiring an electronic visa (eVisa) for seamless travel arrangements. For your eVisa, you can visit this website and apply online at:

In Egypt, you can take pictures in most places you will visit, except for the burial chambers of the pyramids, inside the Egyptian Museum (but you can take pictures outside of Museum which has many monuments and statues), the Valley of the Kings, as well as police and military check points.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
