Tour Itinerary

4 Days From Aswan To Luxor

Your adventure kicks off with a morning transfer from your hotel in Cairo to the airport, where you’ll catch a short flight to the beautiful city of Aswan. Upon arrival, your expert Egyptologist guide will greet you and escort you to begin your unforgettable journey along the Nile.

Aswan Highlights You'll Explore: Aswan High Dam.
Discover the monumental modern marvel that changed Egypt’s future. Built between 1960 and 1971, the High Dam not only tamed the Nile’s flooding but also gave rise to Lake Nasser—one of the world’s largest man-made lakes.

The Unfinished Obelisk
Step back into the ancient world as you visit Queen Hatshepsut’s ambitious—but never completed—obelisk. Carved directly into bedrock, it would have been the largest ever created had it not cracked during construction.

Check-in on Your Nile Cruise
After your tour, you'll board your deluxe Nile cruise, your floating home for the next few days. Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard as you soak in views of the timeless Nile scenery.

Philae Temple
In the afternoon, sail to the enchanting island of Agilkia to explore the Philae Temple, dedicated to the beloved goddess Isis. Dating back to the 4th century BC, this temple tells the mythological tale of Osiris—a story of love, betrayal, and resurrection that has captivated generations.

End your magical first day with dinner onboard the cruise and a peaceful overnight stay as the Nile gently flows beneath you.

After that return to your Nile Cruise to have dinner and spend the overnight.

Wake up to a serene morning on the Nile and enjoy a hearty breakfast onboard your cruise. Today is all about relaxing and soaking in the timeless beauty of Egypt’s landscapes as your cruise sails gently toward Kom Ombo.

Afternoon Exploration: Kom Ombo Temple
Once you arrive in Kom Ombo, you’ll step off the ship and dive into one of Egypt’s most fascinating and symmetrical temples. Unlike any other, Kom Ombo Temple was built during the Ptolemaic period (180–47 BC) and is completely dedicated to two gods:

Sobek – the crocodile god of fertility and protector of the Nile, honored on the southern side.

Haroeris (Horus the Elder) – the falcon-headed god of the sky and kingship, worshipped on the northern side.

The temple is cleverly designed with two identical halves—each with its own sanctuaries, halls, and entrances—all perfectly symmetrical along the central axis. It's truly a unique example of ancient Egyptian architectural brilliance.

After your tour, head back to the cruise where the journey continues toward Edfu. Enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner onboard, and spend the night floating peacefully under the starry sky.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Onboard the Nile Cruise

After breakfast onboard, get ready to step back in time with your expert Egyptologist guide as you visit one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt.

Morning Visit: Edfu Temple

Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed sky god, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Construction began under Ptolemy III in 237 BC and was completed nearly 180 years later during the reign of Ptolemy XII in 57 BC.

This magnificent temple remained hidden beneath layers of sand for centuries until its rediscovery in 1860 by French archaeologist Auguste Mariette. Today, it stands as a remarkably intact example of ancient Egyptian architecture and artistry, with soaring columns, intricate carvings, and sacred inscriptions that tell tales of divine battles and celestial protection.

After exploring this ancient wonder, return to your cruise as it sails onward to Luxor—home to some of the most iconic treasures of Ancient Egypt.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon onboard with lunch and dinner served against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Nile. Spend your evening unwinding on deck as the cruise glides through history.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Onboard the Nile Cruise

Enjoy one last breakfast onboard before checking out and heading off with your expert Egyptologist guide to explore the crown jewels of ancient Thebes (modern-day Luxor)—a city that was once the beating heart of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Morning Tour: The West Bank Wonders

Valley of the Kings
Step into the sacred necropolis of Egypt’s most legendary pharaohs. Nestled in the cliffs on Luxor’s west bank, the Valley of the Kings is home to 63 royal tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Seti I, and Queen Hatshepsut. Built over 500 years during the New Kingdom (18th–20th Dynasties), these tombs offer a rare glimpse into the rituals, beliefs, and grandeur of ancient Egyptian afterlife traditions.

Temple of Hatshepsut
Carved dramatically into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, this stunning mortuary temple honors one of Egypt’s most powerful and admired rulers—Queen Hatshepsut. Blending divine purpose with architectural elegance, it’s a tribute to both Amun-Re and the enduring legacy of a pharaoh who ruled with wisdom and strength.

Colossi of Memnon
Standing proudly for over 3,000 years, the Colossi of Memnon are two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Despite centuries of natural disasters and time, these massive sentinels still whisper stories of a golden age long past.

Afternoon Tour: The East Bank Majesty

Lunch
Recharge with a delicious meal at a traditional Egyptian restaurant before heading to one of the most breathtaking temples in the country.

Karnak Temple Complex
End your journey with a visit to the Karnak Temples, the largest religious site ever built. Spanning over 2,000 years of history, Karnak was the spiritual epicenter of ancient Egypt, dedicated to the powerful Theban triad: Amun-Re, Mut, and Montu. Stroll through its towering columns, massive pylons, and sacred lake, and marvel at the Hypostyle Hall—an architectural wonder that continues to amaze visitors from around the globe.

After an awe-inspiring day, you’ll be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, we’ll take you back to your hotel, marking the end of your magical 4-day Nile Cruise from Cairo.
