Tour Itinerary

Take a leisurely tour of Cairo's most famous sites with Your Egypt Tours The Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, and Khan el-Khalili bazaar. With your Egyptologist guide leading the way, you'll see Cairo's most famous attractions in one day. One of the advantages of your tour is that you can determine the amount of time you'd like to spend at each site. Your Day tour begins with a fascinating introduction to the three Giza pyramids: Cheops, Khafre, and Menakaure. You will have free time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost), though your guide is not permitted to join you. A short drive to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, the enigmatic symbol of Egypt.

Also, in Giza, you may visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional, at an additional cost), home to Khufu's remarkably well-preserved funerary boat. Cairo's famous Egyptian Museum houses 165,000 Egyptian artifacts, but the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun are the highlight. His three gilded coffins dominate the main hall, while his magnificent death mask is the star attraction. Your guide will introduce you to the museum's most important pieces before you have free time to explore at your leisure. Continuing to Khan el Khalili bazaar, you'll enjoy free time to stroll through the maze of streets and bargain for a souvenir of your trip to Egypt. During the day, you will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how the famous artwork is made.

One day in Cairo may not be enough to experience everything in Cairo, but it is more than enough to learn about the popular attractions in Cairo such as the Egyptian Museum. You can find a lot of attractions if you have a well-thought-out itinerary and the desire to explore.

You can certainly enjoy Cairo day tours on your own, but having a tour guide around will be more beneficial because they can teach you about the background information and history of each Cairo attraction. Whatever mode of transportation you pick when visiting Cairo, be ready for crowds. Taxis and metro tickets are reasonably priced, as are both public and private tour buses.

Begin your day tour in Cairo with popular attractions such as the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahsour, finish the attractions of Giza day tours then move to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, and end your day with a shopping tour in Khan El Khalili.

Cairo is one of the largest cities in the world, and the second largest in Africa by population. You could tour the city for weeks, but we suggest spending at least 3 days in Cairo on your first visit.

Yes, a day trip to Alexandria from Cairo is worth it, but as others have said, it’s going to take most of the day to visit most popular attractions in Alexandria day tours such as Qaitbay Citadel, Lighthouse, Catcombos of Kom El Shoqafa, and Alexandria Library.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
