Description

Get ready for an unforgettable evening at one of Aswan’s most magical sites — the Philae Temple Sound and Light Show. This isn’t just a tour; it’s a journey through time where ancient legends come to life under the stars.

We’ll take you to the beautiful island where Philae Temple sits — a place that once served as a sacred sanctuary for Isis, the goddess of motherhood and healing. Originally built during the Ptolemaic era (around 380–362 BC), the temple was carefully relocated by UNESCO in the 1960s to save it from the rising waters of the Nile.

As night falls, the temple transforms into a stage where the history of Ancient Egypt is told through dazzling lights, sound effects, and powerful narration. You’ll walk through the temple’s majestic columns and ancient courtyards, all lit up in vivid color, as stories of gods, pharaohs, and the famous myth of Osiris unfold around you.

There are a lot of things to do in Aswan including Temples, Islands, Museums, and the cheerful Nubian Village. You shouldn't leave Aswan without visiting the High Dam, Abu Simbel Temple, Philae Temple, Sehil Island, and more attractions to explore on Aswan day tours.

You will need to spend 2-3 days in Aswan to see the main attractions. The first day is dedicated to visiting the Philae Temple, Abu Simbel Temple, or the High Dam, all of them are situated on the Nile River so you will enjoy all of them in our Egypt Nile Cruise tours. The second day is dedicated to exploring the Nubian museum and the Nubian Village. The Nubian people's history and culture are explored in the museum.

We recommend you go to Luxor because Luxor has a lot of important ancient Egyptian sites that need a lot of walking around and visiting its temples while Aswan is seen as a place of rest next to its temples.

Aswan offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors to discover and is an ideal base for a one-day tour of the city of Abu Simbel.

The architecture of the High Dam is not only visually attractive nor is it of historical interest. It is hardly a must-see tourist attraction in Aswan.
