We woke up early to visit the magnificent Edfu temple. This vast architectural work of art, dedicated to the falcon deity Horus, stores some of the world's most valuable and expensive stones. We arrive at the lovely Temple of Edfu just before daybreak. This historical site provides an uncommon window into the past. Horus, the richest falcon deity, rests here.
We need an abundant breakfast before heading to the famed Kom Ombo. Horus the Elder, also known as Haroeis, the Falcon God, has a temple dedicated to him. The Crocodile, Sobek, the cosmic creator and fertility deity, represents the opposing side. After a tasty meal and intriguing historical attractions, finish the day with a spectacular night.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
