At the entrance, two giant granite statues of the falcon god Horus stand on each side. They've been watching over the place for thousands of years.

Then you head to Karnak Temple – a massive complex that feels like a vast open-air museum. It wasn't built by one pharaoh. Many kings over many centuries added their mark. You'll walk through the great hypostyle hall with its forest of giant columns. It's the kind of place that makes you feel small – in a good way.

After your tour, you return to your luxury dahabiya Nile cruise for dinner and overnight.

Next you'll visit the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut. It was built for Egypt's first female pharaoh – three floors carved right into the cliff. Different from any other temple you've seen.

The tour ends with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon – two giant statues sitting alone in the field. They've been standing there since Pharaoh Amenhotep III was alive.

Princess Farida is small by design. It usually takes between 12 and 16 guests. Small enough to feel private, big enough to be comfortable. No crowds, no long lines.

Yes. The pace is slow and the crew helps when needed. Temple visits involve walking on uneven ground, but you can go at your own speed. Many guests are in their 50s, 60s, and beyond.
