  1. Luxor one day excursion from Safaga Port, Your Egypt Tours.
We had to see the attractions of Luxor while in the port of Safaga and this was the ideal way.
Your Egypt Tours picked us up at Safaga port early and took us to all the sites. Our guide Ashraf was brilliant at providing the information required, the lunch was exellent, so all in all would definately recommend this tour if you want to beat the crowds and have exellent trip!

  2. We began planning our over-night visit in Luxor just over a year in advance. From the first email contact with Your Egypt Tours, their high standards of service and attention to detail were apparent. The response to my queries was always rapid and in some cases on the same day. I dealt exclusively with Mona which was also a delight from my first correspondence. She clearly and succinctly inserted her responses on the line below my question within each email (and in a contrasting color) – thereby insuring that each question had been answered and enabling me to easily track our progress as we worked out our itinerary. We were traveling with another couple from the port in Safaga and were interested in spending the night in a hotel on the Nile River, touring all the major sites in the Luxor area and returning to our ship in time to continue our cruise. Waleed, our Egyptologist and guide, met us along with our driver. Since there was four of us plus the driver and Waleed, we requested a van with three rows of seating so that we would be comfortable on the long trip from Safaga on the Red Sea to Luxor on the Nile River. This made a huge difference in terms of personal space and comfort. Although about 3 hours each way, the road was good and the van was air-conditioned. Our driver did an excellent job and we felt very safe and secure throughout our two-day stay. Waleed shared his extensive knowledge of the temples at Luxor and Karnak as well as Hatshepsut’s temple and the Valley of the Kings, in addition to several other sites. A note of caution…many of the most important sites have stairs or stair-like ramps which means that visitors with balance or walking issues should be extremely careful. All of the sites we visited were thrilling to see and our visit fulfilled a life-long desire to experience the wonders of Egypt and the Nile. Our complete enjoyment of our time reflects directly on Your Egypt Tours and more specifically on Mona. The company’s motto, “Where our passion is making clients feel special!” is spot on. We would book with Your Egypt Tours again in a heartbeat!

  3. We traveled from our ship to Luxor and stayed overnight to see the temples and the Valley of the Kings. It was a magnificent two days. The arrangements and our tour guide were excellent. On our first day, we visited Karnak and Luxor complexes and managed to take a boat ride on the Nile. After dinner, we saw the night show at the Karnak Temple. It was a full wonderful day.
On day two, we visited the Valley of the Kings. I would recommend visiting Seti’s tomb even though they charge extra. You will be impressed.
I took this cruise expressly for spending time in these two places (along with Petra) and I was NOT disappointed

  4. EXCELLENT overnight tour from Safaga
This tour was planned for a group coming in on a cruise ship at Safaga port.
When setting up the tour, all communications were with Mona. She was very prompt with her replies, had clear answers and when I wrote multiple questions, she answered each of them in blue and under the question. Well organized.

I had 26 participants, divided into 2 groups of 12 and 14, each group in a 21 seater minibus and with our own guide and driver. I was also instrumental in setting up a group of 4 for a “mobility-challenged tour”. I didn’t hear any complaints from anyone, only compliments.

For our bus, the tour guide was Ashraf. He was great, very informative and stayed with us. I heard of some guides giving their group some information and then sending them off. They weren’t available to answer any questions that came up. This was NOT Ash’s method of presentation!

Safety – One of my group asked me about safety. When I asked Mona about it, she said that they haven’t felt the need to travel in convoys for years. We felt very safe traveling. Lots of security check-points to slow down the traveling but no hassle.

We had a long drive from the port to Luxor, about 2.5 – 3 hours. Once there, we stopped for a buffet lunch (included). Our afternoon included a visit to the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor, plus a short felucca ride on the Nile River. Ash’s explanation of both temples was informative and enjoyable.

The hotel chosen for Luxor was extremely nice, right on the Nile. Most of one of the groups ate in the Italian restaurant. We had an excellent meal and very good house wine. This was before we went out for the Karnak Light Show. For my husband and I, the show was so-so. Others liked it. Still, the ship’s tour only got to see the light show and that disappointed many.

The next day we went to the Valley of the Kings, where we saw 3 tombs that were suggested by Ash. We also paid extra to see King Tut’s tomb (100 egp) and King Seti’s tomb (1000 egp). Both were worth the extra. Unfortunately, they don’t allow photos inside the tombs. We also saw Queen Hapsheput’s temple in the Valley of the Queens and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch in a local restaurant (included), it was time to take the long ride back to the ship, very happy with our 2 day visit to Luxor.

Your Egypt Tours provided excellent value for money and after listening to Ash talk about a river cruise to Aswan Dam, we want to go back and do it, using YET as our tour provider.
