A private shore excursions from safaga port. Two day tours to Luxor from Safaga port, to see the valley of the kings, Karnak & Luxor Temples, Colossi of Memnon & Hatshepsut temple. Join Silver Spirit at Safaga,
In the morning after our representative meets you at the cruise ship exit door, you will visit the famous Karnak Temple, one of history's most significant places of devotion. You will have your own Egyptologist guide with you, whose expertise will ensure an immensely fascinating experience!
The translation of the ancient term "I pet-it" is "The most sacred of places." The temple, or more accurately, the complex of temples, was constructed in Egypt about 2,000 years ago by multiple pharaohs. Inside the structure, the magnificent "Hypostyle Hall" is a splendid collection of enormous pillars.
After a leisurely lunch and a visit to the restaurant at the Mercure Hotel, your tour guide will take you to the magnificent Luxor temple, created by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, for ceremonies and feasts glorifying the deity Amon. Later on, you'll start an incredible adventure that includes a serene voyage down the River Nile aboard a Felucca, a "traditional Egyptian sailing boat," with breathtaking sunset scenery. You will definitely remember this encounter well. After that, you'll be taken to your hotel so you can check in and have some free time there. You can optionally enjoy the magnificent light and sound show at the Luxor Karnack Temple before returning to your hotel to relax.
At your Luxor hotel, breakfast is offered in the morning. Your own Egyptologist guide, who speaks English, will take you to see the two enormous statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon, on the West Bank of the Nile River after breakfast. The beautiful tombs cut deep into the desert's rock face are located in the Valley of the Kings, where you will next go. The pharaohs' elaborately decorated tombs held every pricey object they believed they might desire in the afterlife.
In addition, we'll get to see three tombs before moving on to El Deer El Bahary to see the stunning Hatshepsut temple. This temple honors Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, as she rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces and blends in with the surrounding sheer limestone cliffs.
On this exceptional voyage, you will also be served lunch. When the day comes to a close, your guide will accompany you back to the cruise ship in Safaga Port; the exact time your ship departs Luxor will determine when you depart Safaga Port (220km).
