Tour Itinerary

Morning Pick-up & Road Trip Begins
We’ll kick off bright and early! Your personal Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Settle in for a scenic 4-hour drive south to El Minya — a region bursting with archaeological wonders and timeless charm.

Step into History at Tel El Amarna
Your first stop is the hauntingly beautiful plain of Tel El Amarna, where the revolutionary Pharaoh Akhenaton once built his sacred city, inspired by his vision of a single god. As you walk these ancient grounds, you’ll feel the echoes of a bold past that defied tradition.

Lunch with a View
After some incredible sightseeing, we’ll treat you to a delicious lunch at a local restaurant where you can relax, refuel, and maybe even try a few Upper Egyptian specialties.

Afternoon at Tuna El Gabal – Secrets of Thoth
Next, we explore Tuna El Gabal, the sprawling necropolis of ancient Hermopolis. This fascinating site was the center of worship for Thoth, the god of wisdom and writing. Don’t miss the famed tomb of Petosiris, a high priest of Thoth whose resting place is a remarkable blend of Greek and Egyptian styles — a true archaeological gem.

Evening Check-in & Overnight in El Minya
After a day filled with ancient wonders, we’ll take you to your 5-star hotel in El Minya. Enjoy a peaceful evening and get ready for another incredible day tomorrow.

Meals Included: Lunch
Overnight Stay: 5★ Hotel in El Minya

Morning: Breakfast & Onward to Ancient Tombs
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then meet your Egyptologist guide who will be ready and waiting with your private air-conditioned vehicle. Today’s adventure continues with a journey to one of the most remarkable burial grounds in all of Egypt.

Explore the Cliffside Tombs of Beni Hassan
Perched dramatically on the east bank of the Nile — unlike most tombs found on the west — Beni Hassan is a true hidden gem. These Middle Kingdom tombs date back to the 11th and 12th dynasties and once served as the resting places of El Minya’s governors and elite. Carved into the limestone cliffs, the tombs are adorned with vivid, well-preserved wall paintings that bring everyday life in ancient Egypt to life before your eyes.

Lunch in El Minya
After immersing yourself in history, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy some fresh Egyptian cuisine and take in the laid-back atmosphere of the city.

Discover the Vision of Akhenaton at Tel El Amarna
In the afternoon, we’ll take you to Tel El Amarna, the legendary city built by Pharaoh Akhenaton around 1363 BC. This was more than just a capital — it was a bold experiment in religion, art, and culture. Here, Akhenaton introduced the worship of a single god, Aten, the sun disc, in a dramatic shift from Egypt's traditional polytheism. Walk the same grounds where this radical revolution once unfolded.

Return to Cairo
As the day winds down, we’ll begin our drive back to Cairo in your private A/C vehicle. Sit back, relax, and reflect on the wonders you've explored — from sacred tombs to the footprints of a visionary pharaoh.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
